The glittering success story of Nayaab, the most renowned jewelers of Jaipur, can trace its origins to a family history that goes back almost a century. It all started with Shri Ugarsinghji Bothra, lovingly called 'Bausaa', who entered the gems and jewelry trade at the tender age of 9, with a very humble beginning and a dream in his heart. Before long, because of his skills, dedication and hard work, Bausaa became a partner of the renowned Haveli Group, one of the very few and oldest institutes imparting training and expertise to jewellers in Rajasthan. The values, passion and entrepreneurial zeal of Bausaa continued in his son, Sumersingh Bothra who joined the Haveli group at the age of 16 in 1961. To Sumersingh Bothra goes the credit of taking the family name to the international platform. At an early age Sumersingh started to travel overseas – to source rough stone and buy quality gems from Brazil and other countries. Today, at the helm of affairs and the owner of Nayaab, is Upendrasingh Bothra. Imbued with the traditional values and heritage of his illustrious family, Upendrasingh went to Bombay at the age of 18 to study gemology with a special focus on diamonds. When Upendrasingh married Manali, she brought a 160-year old legacy of jewelry-making to the Bothra family. Soon Manali's designing talent and Upendrasingh's knowledge of gems and precious metals combined to create masterpieces of rare beauty and purity-Nayaab Jewels.
